About Session NSS Committee of Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for women organized an International Yoga Day Celebration for the staff on 23rd June 2026 in the college seminar hall WB401 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The main objective of the program is to create awareness about the importance of yoga and encourage staff members to adopt yoga as a regular practice for maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, stress relief and emotional balance. Yoga is an ancient practice that brings harmony between the body and mind through physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation. Regular practice of yoga helps improve flexibility, concentration, posture, and overall health while reducing stress and anxiety. Keeping these benefits in view, the college organized the International Yoga Day program for all staff members. The session started by inviting the speaker Ms M Gayatri, Hatha Yoga Trainer, Isha Foundation, Hyderabad. The speaker Ms M Gayatri, told about Isha Foundation and the importance of Yoga and its benefits. Trainer taught few hand exercises by inhalation and exhalations. She also explained how to manage our life and how to overcome stress by practicing yoga regularly. Next she told few basic yoga moves like neck exercises, shoulder exercises, head movement with inhalations and exhalations with some guidelines. All the staff members actively participated in the yoga session and shared their experiences. The session was highly interactive, and participants clarified their doubts regarding yoga practices and their benefits. The instructor addressed all queries and motivated the participants to continue practicing yoga regularly. After the program Principal emphasized the significance of yoga in achieving a healthy and balanced lifestyle. He encouraged all staff members to practice yoga regularly and highlighted its role in enhancing physical health, mental peace and workplace productivity. At the end of the program, the Principal and Vice Principal felicitated Ms M Gayatri, Hatha Yoga Trainer, Isha Foundation, Hyderabad with a plant sapling as a token of appreciation for conducting the informative and rejuvenating session. The NSS Committee Coordinator expressed sincere gratitude to the Trainer and staff for their enthusiastic participation and support in making the International Yoga Day Celebration a grand success. The event reinforced the importance of yoga as an effective tool for achieving holistic health and well-being.
