Departmental Administrative Committees of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The following committees that are constituted at the Department level. They are

A. Department Advisory Committee (DAC)
B. Program Assessment Committee (PAC)
C. Academic Audit Committee (AAC)
D. Student Interaction Committee (SIC)

The decision/information flow among the departmental committees and College Academic Council (CAC) is shown in Figure 1.
Academic Audit Committee takes care of all operational issues of Department and takes approval from DAC. Student interaction Committee is responsible for all student related issues. The College Academic Council (CAC) accords approval for all academic related matters.

The functions and responsibilities of these committees are tabulated below.

College Academic Council (CAC)

Management Representative	Decisions on all academic matters such as Infrastructure, Amenities, Budget, Recruitment, Co-curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities, Student attendance and counselling. Frequency of Meeting: Once in a semester.

Department Advisory Committee (DAC)

Senior Faculty Members (03)	• Collecting inputs from stakeholders for achieving goals, Vision and Mission, PEOs and PSOs of the Department. • Budget procurement and maintenance of laboratories, financial approvals and guidance. • Identify faculty and lab requirements for syllabus changes. • Identification of thrust areas and initiatives for consultancy, R&D projects, equipment and facilities. • Approving authority for all Departmental activities. Frequency of Meeting: Twice in a semester.

Alumni	• Defines Vision, Mission, PEOs and PSOs. • Drafts Course Outcomes, Program Outcomes and Program Specific Outcomes. • Attainments, deficiencies, curriculum gaps, recommendations and action plans for improvement. • Approves and assesses reports from other committees and faculty and submits reports to DAC. Frequency of Meeting: Twice in a semester.

Academic Audit Committee (AAC)

Senior Faculty Members (03)	• Curriculum monitoring and feedback from students. • Faculty and student development programs. • Additional facility and equipment requirements. • Department action plan and academic calendar. • Maintenance and ambience. • Analyse reports from Time Table & Result Analysis Committee and Student Interaction Committee. • Gets reports from all other internal committees and analyses them. • Submits reports to DAC / PAC. Frequency of Meeting: Twice in a semester.
