Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Dr. P.Varanasi Professor and Head of the department obtained his Ph.D from IIT Delhi. He has been a Professor of Electrical Engg. at the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. He has more than 40 years of experience in teaching and research in various engineering colleges such as National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, National Institute of Technology, Raurkela. His research interests are in Network Theory and Filter Design, Machine Modeling and Micro Processor Applications to Electric Drive Control. He has published research papers in National and International conferences.

Sri J.B.V.Subramanyam Sr. Associate Professor of the department pursuing Ph.D from JNTU Hyderabad in Electrical Power Distribution System. He obtained his M.Tech from Jadhvapur University, Kolkatta. He has more than 15 years of experience in teaching and research training, Consultancy (real time projects) with L& T, ESCCI (IEI), GECE, Aurora’s Engineering College, and BRECW

EEE dept has 1 Professor ,2 Associate professors and 10 asst professors with 4 technical supporting staff, and 1 Jr.Asst

The EEE branch started functioning from 2001-02 to widen the base of various courses offered by the college and to meet the increasing demand of technical personnel in this area. The various labs are as follows:

1     Electro Mechanics Lab-I

2     Hydraulics & Hydraulic Machinery Lab

3     Control Systems Lab

4     Measurements Lab

5     Simulation Lab

6     Networks Theory Lab

7     Power Electronics Lab

8     Project Lab

The following are the Workshops, Seminars conducted by the Department :

1     Three-day Workshop on "DSP Architectures & its Applications" on 10-12 December 2004 - The
       Workshop was jointly organised along with Dept of ECE and EIE

2     Three-day Symposium on "Controllers for Power Semiconductor Drives" on 6-8 April 2006.
